5 Dog Facts You Probably Haven't Heard Of!

3
As I was reading a Magazine last night, I came across a page full of interesting facts about Animal. Here's some of them, all having a relation to our favorite pets of all, DOGS!

Did you know that?
  • First bred in the United States in 1990 to 1991, the Bull Boxer is the newest dog breed.
It first originated in the 1990's in Great Britain by mix breeding a Boxer and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Today you'll probably notice that there are already variations of this breed using also a Boxer but some other Bull breeds.

  • A dog will cost you $13,350 on its average lifespan of 11 years.
This is quite true as the owner needs to pay for the Dog's needs right?
A Basic rundown: Treats: $20 to $85 dollars, Dog Foods: $25 to $80 dollars, Dog Toys: $5 to $25, Dog Crate: $19 to $155, Veterinarian Fee: $150 to $255. Multiply that by how much do you usually use each component and it will surely be a lot!

  • Police Dogs, commonly referred to as "K-9 Dogs", are trained to react to commands in a foreign language; commonly German, but recently more in Hungarian or some other Slavic tongue.
Being trained as they are, associating certain actions with different calls, even in foreign language, will not be a problem for them I must say. The wonders dogs can do!

  • Chinese Crested dogs can get acne.
Here's a living example:

  • Guide dogs, or seeing-eye dogs, leads its master through its careful observation of traffic flow to determine whether or not it is safe to cross the road. It doesn't look at the traffic light for it cannot tell a red light from a green light.
Being partially Color Blind, they really need to rely on their observation on the flow of traffic to safely guide their master. This makes me amaze of dogs more than ever!

Dog are such fantastic creatures don't you think? We're lucky we have them as best friends, so give your Dog a hug today!
