What's The Best Reward In With Positive Reinforcement Method?
|
I've found small treats and toys to really cheer up Creamy, my pet Toy Poodle. But then I'm looking for more ideas, probably specific ones you yourself use. |

Personally, I've tried alot of Dog Treats in hopes of finding the best one among the many choices, in terms of ingredients, and nutrition value for my pets that is. Here's what I've opted to use so far for Dog Training Treats,
- ZiwiPeak 'Good-Dog' treats
- Wellness WellBites
- Itty Bitty Buddy Biscuits
Do note that my dogs were just puppies when I used these treats, so it will not quite apply as they get older. Haven't tested much toys though, looking for other people's answers.

Personally, I found that Positive Reinforcement Reward System method to be the most effective. A little treat for every job well done goes a long way as far as training Puff, my pet Pug, goes.

I would have to say that there simply is no best method because a method's effectiveness depends upon the dog itself and your execution of your chosen method. But if I may add, I'd agree with aPugsLife's answer that the Reward System is indeed the most effective dog training method!

Another reward system training method success story here, good to know I'm not the only one! If you're curious why, it's because it simply does very well in developing positive and lasting relationship with your dog. Along with a personal touch, you are guaranteed to be training your dog effectively!

As for the toys, seeing that you have a Toy Poodle, which is a small dog, small toys would very much work too! This is where I'd suggest Kongs..
If you want stimulate your dog mentally as they play, puzzle balls would work great!

Snausages, I've been hearing about it for a few days now. Haven't tested it myself though!
