
My Pup Chews Through Our Rugs And Carpets!
| our 6-month old Skip, who is a Corgi, chews through the rugs and carpets in our house when we're away. |

but that doesn't necessarily the case when we're home, he's well behave and all. i've tried positive reinforcement with her opting to chew her chew toys but that didn't help. what do you guys think? |

I assume you haven't Crate Train your dog, if I'm correct then that's your best bet for now bluesky. Since you did mention that it only happens when you're away right? So the temporary solution is to keep him under control while you're away.

probably your dog's bored when no one's around?i'm curious to know why would you let him wander around your house as a puppy? :salso, have you started to train him? if so, what kind of training?

is your corgi getting enough exercise? both physical and mental? lokifan's got a point,
it's a possible reason that your skip is bored. along with kevin's answer, you can also do something called "crate games" to further his acceptance of the crate.
unless your dog isn't trained or can be trusted to wander around the house, there's no reason keeping him loose. corgis can be chew monsters you know(not only corgis but most dogs i think?)
