a buddy of mine plans on getting a mix breed mastiff and ridgeback.
big as these two dogs can be, i can only imagine how big they'll get. my question is, how different will crate training be for large dogs like these? i'd like to have some info for the actual crate itself, since basic crates won't fit them. also is there such a crate that will fit and suit it well as a pup and when he's fully grown? looking for some valuable info here guys, keep your answers coming! |

well for one, it'll be physically harder than crate training a normal(or small) dog since when it reaches adulthood, they can grow larger than an average human adult.
as for the crate, probably buy a big crate right from the start. then space it out as you're starting out with a pup.

these 2 pretty much answered your question already.
buy a crate somthing that looks like this(or even bigger depending on your view)

then fill it with cardboard boxes as needed for your pup.
