Is The Modern Dog Training Effective?

1

I've come across a method that was named to be the Modern Dog Training method, wherein marks are use to then allow the dog to learn by himself. No physical handling or touching is ever involved.

As I'm dumbfounded with the idea itself, since I haven't actually tried it, I want to know if any of you guys are aware or know anything of the said method and your experiences about it, if any? Looking forward to all your answers!

I do have experience regarding your question as I've been trying to train Hershey, a Toy Poodle of mine, using this method, but with little to no success so far. It's been three weeks at least, but my Dog wouldn't quite pick up what I'm asking him to do.

It may have been just my execution that made it ineffective as I think personally, this method isn't for new Dog Trainers. One should opt for easier ways of Dog Training when they're just starting out in training their dogs. Don't eat more than you can chew, a lesson learned first hand!

just as physical touching has psychological effects and meanings on human, it does also mean that it will have effects on dogs too. this is because somehow, dogs can understand humans, even if we humans can't quite understand ourselves sometimes. :p forgot to say that no, it won't be effective!

When done right, I think this will be very effective in teaching your dog to be independent! Imagine it having to learn things at his own pace. The only problem I see is the whole process of applying this technique!
