i recently just got my first ever dog, a border collie named Collie(i'm not that creative with names, sad to say.. ). it's been a great 10 weeks so far, i've started with housetraining and bought some puppy mats for her to utilize.
i take her out every hour whenever i can. she also happily goes outside after food and drink, but here's where i got a problem.. whenever she feels like pooping/peeing, she runs inside to do so. when done, she then happily goes back outside.. so far, i've just been bearing it since she is a puppy and i believe punishment will bring more harm than good. every morning, i always let her be outside. lastly, i got her from my relatives that lives near a farm, if that helps. what am i doing wrong? can i do anything to make her go outside for poo/pee? |

Quite possible that that's what she's use to doing back at the farm, since that what she's doing now. Taking her out every hour sounds good, so is letting her to play outside(a fenced yard I hope). I couldn't agree with you more with your view on punishment! ;)
Housebreaking your puppy is what you're looking for actually, and it's quite good if you get to teach her that even as a puppy still!

JB's quite right(funny name, reminds me of someone..)
If you do see her exhibiting actions that tells she going to pee/poo, try picking her up and dropping her outside fast. Reinforce that action then with a treat so that she'll slowly relate those two actions and thus allowing her to know that pooing/peeing outside will mean treats for her.
