It is a wonderful show on Animal Planet that's very intuitive and helpful for us, dog trainers and dog owners alike. The show is hosted by Victoria Stilwell btw, and I must say she's good!

it got recently mentioned in my conversation with a dog trainer as i was walking my dog at the park.

not wanting to look totally noob in front of her, i didn't bother asking this foreign term.

so what is a velcro dog? is it some sort of dog slang or something??

I live in an apartment and my neighbors, especially those just steps away from my door, are very frustrated about my dog's non-stop barking at nights. Is this because of the fact that I put her at her house at night? This a part of a training I'm experimenting on.. Your thoughts, anyone?

a buddy of mine plans on getting a mix breed mastiff and ridgeback.
big as these two dogs can be, i can only imagine how big they'll get.

my question is, how different will crate training be for large dogs like these? i'd like to have some info for the actual crate itself, since basic crates won't fit them.

also is there such a crate that will fit and suit it well as a pup and when he's fully grown?

looking for some valuable info here guys, keep your answers coming!

basically a collar that'll inflict 6 levels of shock, with varying degree of "shock" on each level, onto your dog. this is more commonly used in teaching your dog to not bark at times. shocking him when he does so.

what do you think of this? is this even acceptable??

Droopy, an adopted GR of mine from a few months back is a fast learner. What I'm bothered with him about is that he easily gets distracted with the different things surrounding him. Even calling him by his pet name or whistling couldn't get his attention, any tips you could give me regarding my concern? I'd really appreciate it!

I've come across a method that was named to be the Modern Dog Training method, wherein marks are use to then allow the dog to learn by himself. No physical handling or touching is ever involved.

As I'm dumbfounded with the idea itself, since I haven't actually tried it, I want to know if any of you guys are aware or know anything of the said method and your experiences about it, if any? Looking forward to all your answers!

it's quite a shock actually since I know this has proven to be effective, at least for most? being simple as the method is, i don't quite get it why my dog wouldn't respond correctly. it's clicker then treat afterwards right?

i've been procrastinating alot about this issue and I finally now have the courage to step up and make it a reality.

things to consider:
- i have a kid under 4yrs of age
- i prefer small dogs ( approx just below 25lbs)
- i don't usually go out alot, we prefer to be at home
- we have a yard at our home(if that helps, that does right? :p )

your thoughts guys?

As the title says, where can I find information about Dog Trainer and their offered Dog Training services, or pretty much those that you guys can recommend? I'm very much interested in getting my dog trained as I'm always on the go and don't have time to train them myself. I was told that it'll surely take time and I don't have the luxury of that.

Too bad for both me and my dogs. :(

A specially trained army dog, Toby, a springer spaniel, helps find insects in exchange for a tennis ball, which is his most preferred reward.

Take a look at his video to see the wonder dogs are capable of doing! :)
